The coaching and the mountaineering in this program are the same discipline, not two services bundled together. At the start of the journey, the team completes exercises that surface what each person believes about their own mindset, about their teammates, and about how the team actually works together. Those same exercises are revisited at the end of the trip, so the shift becomes visible, not just felt.

On the mountain, daily briefing and debriefing sessions unfold what the climb reveals, the assumptions that don't hold up under real fatigue and altitude, and the team dynamics that only surface under pressure. The mountain strips away what normally stays hidden in a meeting room.

Signature Expedition: Mount Kilimanjaro
One of the most impactful experiences organizations choose is climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak.

The climb requires preparation, endurance, teamwork, and mental resilience, making it an ideal setting for leadership development. Throughout the expedition, participants take part in guided reflection, coaching conversations, and team discussions designed to strengthen how they think, lead, and collaborate under real conditions.

Groups of 6 to 12 people. The program is all-inclusive on the mountain; flights and visas are arranged separately by participants.
The result is a shared experience that builds stronger relationships and long-term team cohesion, tested under conditions no boardroom exercise can recreate.

No prior climbing or mountaineering experience is required, though participants must meet a minimum fitness level and provide doctor's approval before joining. Tima Deryan and the expedition team provide full guidance and support before and during the climb.
Merging climbing and coaching into one experience is rare, and it's exactly what makes this program different. Over seven days, teams work on personal and collective development while genuinely enjoying the climb together, and the transformation that happens in that week is often surreal, both in how individuals show up and how the team works together by the end.
